By July 1, Only 15 Percent of Employees Had Received K-15; Minimum Is 19,567 Denars

Only 15 percent of employees had received their annual leave allowance, known as K-15, by July 1, while the average net amount paid was 28,562 denars.

This year, private-sector employers that pay K-15 must allocate at least 19,567 denars, under the General Collective Agreement. The amount corresponds to 40 percent of the average net salary for the last three months, as published by the State Statistical Office, except for companies that prove they are facing financial difficulties.

Public-sector employees are entitled to an annual leave allowance of 13,560 denars. Under the General Collective Agreement, this amount is equivalent to 30 percent of the average net salary in the previous year.

Depending on the terms agreed upon by trade unions and employers, sectoral collective agreements in some industries may provide for even higher K-15 payments.
