Businessman Erlind Xhindi: I can now consider Rama a former prime minister; there are divisive attempts, and patronage operatives disguised as family members are at the protest

This Monday, during an interview with News24, businessman Erlind Xhindi said that the mass protest by citizens against the government will achieve its goal: the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

He stressed that as long as thousands of people are taking to the square against him, he considers Rama a former prime minister.

“Today I can call Rama a former prime minister. From the moment that the prime minister in a parliamentary republic, who bears responsibility for this country, showed great indifference toward 250,000 Albanian protesters and members of the diaspora, from that moment he is called a former prime minister,” the businessman said.

According to him, there are divisive attempts at the protest, as he said that patronage operatives are taking part, disguising themselves even as family members.

“The gangrene of these 10 years has been the patronage operatives. They are patronage operatives. They come in small groups of 4-5 people, disguised, even as family members, but they are recognizable, in order to divide or cause a small incident,” he added.

According to him, the youth are setting an example of civic behavior at the protest.

“The youth have shown maturity, civic spirit, that there is still blood enough for them to come together and respect each other’s opinion when it comes to such a great cause. In a civic way, we have asked for only one thing: the departure of this political class.

It will definitely happen. It is a long road, a beautiful one, but a bit long. After the protests, we will begin a long journey, traveling without thieves, criminals, or criminal sects. We are not the side that should become demoralized, but should be optimistic,” the businessman said.
