British Embassy Supports Families of Missing Persons and Identification Process in Zubin Potok

The Embassy of the United Kingdom in Kosovo has expressed its support for the families of people who remain missing from the 1998-1999 war, stressing the need to provide answers after many years of uncertainty.

In its statement, the British Embassy praised the actions of Kosovo’s institutions in the municipality of Zubin Potok, where the recovery of human remains is being carried out, along with forensic examinations and DNA tests to identify them.

“The United Kingdom stands with the families of those who remain missing from the 1998-1999 conflict and supports efforts to find answers for them after many years of uncertainty. We welcome the work of Kosovo’s authorities to recover human remains in the municipality of Zubin Potok and conduct forensic examinations and DNA tests to identify the remains,” the British Embassy said in its statement.
