Braçe Stops Outside Parliament and Confronts Protester Arvina Lleshi: Why Are You Shouting Like That? Easy, you’ve “washed me away,” food should not be thrown in the street

As he was entering the premises of the Parliament leadership today, MP Erjon Braçe encountered activist Arvina Lleshi, who is an active participant in the protest.

He stopped and spoke with her, while at several moments the debate was also accompanied by irony and humor from Braçe.

Activist: Sold-out deputy, we finally caught you. Why are you hiding from the people? Where were you yesterday, where did you come out from yesterday from parliament?

Braçe, laughing as he listened to the activist’s statement, said: How did you catch me?

Activist: Where were you yesterday?

Braçe: Why are you shouting like that? I was in parliament. Easy, easy, you’ve “washed me away.”

Activist: Where did you come out from yesterday?

Braçe: We came out from the same place you did. We respected you, while those who insulted you were very wrong. You did not respect us.

Activist: I have had respect for everyone, because if I hadn’t, I would have smashed the eggs on your colleague Tërmet Peçi’s head.

Braçe: You have the right to protest, to object and to do all these things, but when you throw eggs… put yourself in the place of the person being hit with eggs. If he throws the egg back at you, he is punished for gender-based violence, an act of assault against you. One of your friends even called it sexual harassment.

Activist: Why do you insult protesters with messages?

Braçe: Whoever insults me, I insult back.

Activist: You are sold out.

Braçe: Sold out to whom? Protesting is your right, but do not insult, do not hit, do not offend and do not attack. If they throw the egg back at you, you will complain. Then, food is not thrown away. You are rude, without limits. You were fine until you started with this propaganda.

Activist: Damn it.

Braçe: Damn it? Quick, call the ambulance.
