Berisha fiercely attacks Blendi Klosi: “Has Rama thrown you a bone? He’d sell anything for gambling!”

During the plenary session of the Assembly, Sali Berisha, chairman of the Democratic Party, erupted with harsh accusations and insults against Socialist MP Blendi Klosi.

From the podium, he attacked Klosi with sharp language, accusing him of defending Prime Minister Edi Rama for personal gain and of being addicted to gambling.

Berisha said: “Gather up your gambling cards! You are the worst example of abuse of Albanians’ money, the McGonigal scandal, the plot against the opposition, Lubinë and its 320 apartments. You too, Klosi, should be there. Has Rama thrown you a bone, because you like gambling? I know him, he has no limits. For gambling he’d sell everything. You represent the ugliest defense against Albanian citizens, since you have driven them abroad. Your gambling has a small stake, that’s why you come here and defend Edi Rama. A man now globally branded. He is the most branded man.”

Further, the Democratic leader stated that Klosi is exercising “the ugliest advocacy” on behalf of the government and the prime minister, adding that Edi Rama is “the most branded man” on the international stage.

On the other hand, Blendi Klosi responded that Berisha has been acting like this for years. “I have nothing to say, but I address the opposition colleagues who continue to keep him as leader; he has been in Parliament for 35 years and still hasn’t lost his Party Secretary instincts. He has come to this hall and repeated the same thing for 35 years. I tell him: you killed people on the boulevard, you shot at protesters, while he tells fairy tales. For us, let him continue, because that’s how our votes increase,” said Klosi.
