Berisha: Ergys Agasi had unrestricted access to TIMS data, posed a risk to NATO; an agreement over his arrest cannot be ruled out

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha said that Ergys Agasi had unrestricted access to information and posed a threat to NATO as well.

He also raised suspicions that Agasi’s arrest could have been the result of an agreement.

“Agasi had access to unlimited information and posed a risk to NATO. He handed over all the data from the TIMS system to NATO’s enemies and the Troplini cartel. For this reason, I call on international organizations, Europol and Eurojust to become involved in monitoring and reshaping the investigation. He has Edi Rama under his complete control. Therefore, I conclude with a call for Rama’s resignation, because there is nothing else sitting in the prime minister’s chair but an Agasi,” Berisha said.

According to him, if the arrest was negotiated, then the agreement was made by Edi Rama. Berisha said that a process similar to the one involving Ilir Beqaj could then take place, in which a sentence is determined, while the 800 million euros in healthcare concessions remain on the table—concessions about which, he said, nothing is being said.

“Through the control he has over the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), Edi Rama is managing to repeat this scheme. Today, Bllako is an adviser to Bajram Begaj. Whoever pays more rises higher,” he declared.

Berisha added that there was a possibility that Rama had reached an agreement to close the case. Asked about the possibility of Balluku taking action against Rama, he said this could not be ruled out, but in his view, appearing in clogs and shorts strengthened the first theory even further.

“It could also be Lubia’s pathological influence over the current director general. What would this bring Lubia if she was the one who did it? This would tighten the noose not only around Rama’s neck, but also around Linda Rama’s.
