Basha welcomes contract for the Skopje–Blace highway: Infrastructure connectivity goes beyond borders

Acting Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Dimal Basha has welcomed the signing of the contract by the authorities of North Macedonia for the construction of the Skopje–Blace highway.

According to him, this is a positive development, as the project carries particular importance for infrastructure links between the Republic of Kosovo and North Macedonia.

Basha said that “This segment constitutes the continuation of an important regional corridor and marks a significant step toward completing one of the most strategic transport routes in the region. The implementation of this investment will facilitate the movement of citizens and goods, strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, and create new opportunities for development, investment, and regional integration.”

He also expressed hope that the works will proceed according to plan and that the project will be completed within the envisaged deadlines, so that this modern connection can serve the citizens of both countries.

“Infrastructure knows no borders, therefore every investment that increases regional connectivity brings citizens closer together, strengthens our economies, and contributes to a more developed and more integrated region,” Basha added.
