Bamir Topi discusses Rama’s departure from power: He should begin a gradual withdrawal

During the “First Minute” program on News24, former President Bamir Topi discussed the possibility of Prime Minister Edi Rama leaving power, also offering his perspective on how such a process could unfold.

Topi ironically said that Rama’s departure would bring “doomsday,” while adding that the prime minister should begin a gradual withdrawal.

According to him, during his years in government, Rama has placed people in the administration and institutions, while some intellectuals have been unable to remain in this climate and have left.

Referring to the opposition, Topi said that it has its own problems, but at this moment it should focus on building cohesion.

“It would be doomsday for Rama to leave (laughs). He has no intention of doing so. But I suggest that he begin making a gradual withdrawal. During his long time in power, he has infiltrated his power with people. Some intellectuals have found it impossible to survive here and have left. How can you go into elections? With power captured, people infiltrated, and the administration behind you. The opposition has its own problems, but this is not the time to deal with them. The opposition must create cohesion,” the former president said.
