Taulant Balla, chairman of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group in the Assembly of Albania, has spoken out against the verdict issued by the Specialist Chambers against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

In a Facebook post, Balla described the decision as unjust and stressed that it cannot change the history of the KLA.
“This decision today is not justice! The glorious history of the KLA cannot be undone like this! Injustice!” he wrote.
The Albanian politician called on Albanians to defend the KLA, freedom and its former members, while urging that all legal means be used to challenge and overturn the verdict.
“Albanians must defend the KLA. We must defend freedom and the liberation fighters against this unjust decision! We must find every legal avenue to overturn this decision, because we must defend our identity as a nation at all costs,” Balla declared.
