Balla Raises Questions Over Villa in Italy; Shehaj Responds: You Filmed the Home Where My Wife and Children Stay

Taulant Balla, the head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, shared an ironic video on social media calling on Opportunity Party leader Agron Shehaj to explain a villa in Italy.

In his message, Balla questioned the status of the property and suggested there may be discrepancies in Shehaj’s declarations.

“Hey Gono, where are you, man? Did you sell that poor villa or not? Is it 250, 498, 359? Did you sell it last September or is it still yours? What if Italy’s Cadastre reveals that it is still yours, because then we’ll be in trouble. Look at these documents and clarify this matter a bit. All right, Gono?” Balla says in the video.

After the footage was published, Agron Shehaj immediately responded to Balla, accusing him of making public information about the location of the home in Italy where his wife and children stay.

In a video recorded in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Opportunity Party leader claimed that information about his relatives’ home had been published on the orders of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

“Today, Edi Rama sent Taulant Balla to my home. He filmed the house where my children and my wife live when they spend the summer, showing the address and pointing at it: they are here!” Shehaj said.

According to him, the move was linked to the government’s effort to silence Opportunity Party MPs and prevent them from exposing Rama’s corruption scandals.

“Why is Edi Rama doing this? Because he is desperate, but let one thing be clear: We will not stop! You cannot frighten us, neither with filming nor with Taulants, neither with crime nor with oligarchs, nor with your media outlets, which you finance with Albanian citizens’ money,” Shehaj concluded in his response.
