Vetëvendosje Movement MP Mefail Bajqinovci said that the president of the Republic of Kosovo could be elected today if the opposition shows political will.

His statement comes as information is circulating that parliament could convene in a session at 2:00 p.m.
Asked whether the session was expected to be called, Bajqinovci replied: “If the opposition is willing to elect the president.”
However, there has been no official confirmation so far that the session will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, the PDK earlier asked Parliament Speaker Albulena Haxhiu to schedule an urgent session to vote, in the second reading, on the draft law amending the law on the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
