Attack in Urakë, Mat / Prosecutors pursue those who opened fire on the Lleshi family’s car

Dibër Chief Prosecutor Abaz Muça is closely monitoring the investigation into last night’s attack in Urakë, Mat, where a vehicle was fired upon in the courtyard of the Lleshi family’s home.

Initial information indicates that around 30 automatic rounds were fired at the car. Local residents told reporters off camera that they heard successive gunshots for several minutes, while the incident caused panic and no one dared to leave their home.

After the attack, the perpetrators set a vehicle on fire on the main road and fled across a wooden bridge leading toward the village of Rreth Baz.

In this area, they may have switched vehicles to evade security cameras and make it more difficult to identify them.

Police forces have set up several checkpoints along the main routes and are reviewing security camera footage along the Burrel–Milot national road. Checks and verifications are also being carried out in the Prosek–Rrëshen direction.

Meanwhile, investigative teams are continuing their work to collect evidence and fully document the circumstances of the incident.
