Are George and Amal Clooney heading to a new Italian paradise? The famous duo aims to buy a historic villa in Capri

George and Amal Clooney seem ready to start a new phase of their lives, this time on the Italian island of Capri.

Beyond their well-known residence on the shores of Lake Como, the couple is reportedly showing interest in one of the most elite properties in the entire Mediterranean.

According to international media reports, the Hollywood star and the prominent human rights lawyer have inspected Villa Bragaglia, a historic property located in the quiet area of Tiberio, away from the tourist flow and accessible only via picturesque pedestrian paths.

Put on the market in 2021, this villa is considered one of the most prestigious properties in Capri, offering stunning views over the Gulf of Naples. It embodies a fusion of the past, intimacy, and natural beauty. Built in the 1940s at the behest of Italian filmmaker Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia, the residence still retains the spirit of the golden age of Italian cinema and the ‘La Dolce Vita’ style.

The duo’s possible interest in this property was initially reported by international fashion and lifestyle press, while People magazine confirmed that George Clooney was seen in Capri in July, visiting the villa. His presence there has fueled speculation that the couple may have chosen the island as their next Italian haven.

Villa Camarella, also known as Villa Bragaglia, is an elegant residence hidden among lemon trees and typical Mediterranean greenery. The complex consists of two separate buildings, the main house and an annex, designed to ensure maximum privacy and comfort.

The central building spans four levels with an area of about 800 square meters, while the entire property offers approximately 1,200 square meters of interior space and over 4,800 square meters of outdoor area.

Among its features are a panoramic swimming pool of 113 square meters, a tennis court, a soccer field, a recreational area, and a characteristic lemon-colored building, entirely surrounded by Mediterranean flora.

If this purchase goes through, Capri could become the new Italian headquarters of George and Amal Clooney, adding yet another emblem of luxury and historic elegance to their chapter with Italy.
