The Arapi family from Mamurras faced a tragedy two years ago when their only son died at the age of 32 in a motorcycle accident. He left behind two young children.

Frrok Arapi, the victim’s 63-year-old father, tearfully recounts their daily hardships as he tries to find the strength to support the family. According to him, his daughter-in-law and the two children are in severe financial hardship and cannot even afford their monthly rent.
In addition to the pain of losing his son, Frrok Arapi is also battling an illness that is causing his health to deteriorate by the day. He is asking for more help from the state, as the mother and her children, aged 13 and 6, survive solely on 7,800 lek in monthly social assistance.
The 32-year-old’s two children have become a source of strength for their mother and grandparents, while living each day with the memory of their father, who died tragically two years ago.
