Anti-drug operation in Sarandë: Suspected individuals arrested and cocaine, cannabis and weapons seized

The Sarandë Police Commissariat has launched a major operation against the distribution of narcotics in the coastal area. The operation has resulted in the arrest of several individuals and the seizure of firearms, cocaine and cannabis.

The operation is still ongoing, while the police intervention is linked to citizens’ concerns about the spread of drug trafficking in the city.

Sources from the scene report that among those detained are also suspected to be individuals described as the main leaders of the groups responsible for distributing narcotics throughout the Sarandë area.

During the searches, officers found and seized considerable quantities of cocaine and cannabis, as well as firearms suspected of having been used by members of the criminal network.
