Angellovski: 873 inspections, 30 measures and 17 payment orders carried out against agricultural buyers by September 15

The State Agriculture Inspectorate conducted 873 extraordinary inspections of legal entities registered as buyers of agricultural products from the beginning of the year through September 15. After violations were established, 30 inspection measures were imposed and 17 payment orders were issued, the institution’s director, Ivica Angellovski, announced.

During a joint press conference with the Minister of Agriculture, Borce Serafimovski, Angellovski explained that the inspections were carried out under the Law on Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as in accordance with the Inspectorate’s monthly plans and work orders.

“During 2026, state agriculture inspectors imposed a total of 30 inspection measures for the irregularities identified. The decisions included bans, warnings, orders and obligations. In addition, 17 payment orders were issued for violations identified during purchasing, three of which have been paid. For the remaining unpaid orders, misdemeanor proceedings are being conducted before the Ministry’s Misdemeanor Commission,” Angellovski said.

According to him, the most frequently repeated violations involve purchasing products without contracts with producers, failing to pay obligations for purchased goods, exceeding or failing to comply with payment deadlines, failing to display lists of purchase prices, using unverified measuring equipment and making purchases without registration in the Buyers’ Register.

Angellovski added that the Inspectorate is also involved in processes related to the export of agricultural products by verifying and issuing phytosanitary certificates./Telegrafi/
