AKK criticizes lack of pedagogical documentation even in the second week of classes

Even after the end of the first week of the new school year, basic pedagogical documentation is still missing in many schools across Kosovo, the Association of Kosovo Municipalities has announced.

AKK Director Sazan Ibrahimi said that schools still do not have class books and master registers, documents essential for the proper organization and recording of the teaching process.

Ibrahimi assessed that the delay cannot be explained simply by technical reasons. According to him, it reflects a lack of planning, coordination and responsibility on the part of the relevant institutions.

“Even in the second week of the new school year, schools in Kosovo’s municipalities continue to face a lack of basic pedagogical documentation,” the AKK director said.

He stressed that the burden of this situation is falling on municipalities, heads of educational institutions, teachers, students and parents.

The AKK has called on the Ministry to ensure that the pedagogical documentation is secured and delivered without delay to schools in Kosovo’s municipalities.

In addition, the Association has asked MASHTI to inform municipalities of the exact date of delivery, provide public explanations for the causes of the delay and establish regular communication with municipal education directorates.

“The school year cannot begin with improvisation. The responsible institutions must fulfill their obligations before students enter classrooms, not after the second week of classes has begun,” Ibrahimi said.

According to him, the education system needs planning and institutional responsibility, while negligence and improvisation are not solutions.
