Agon Bytyqi’s term as AKI deputy director extended by another five years

Acting President of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu has announced that, together with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, she has signed the decision to extend Agon Bytyqi’s mandate in the position of deputy director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI).

According to her announcement, Bytyqi will remain in this post for another five-year term.

Haxhiu said that his experience, knowledge of the institution, and the responsibility he demonstrated during his first term were important factors in maintaining continuity and professionalism in AKI’s work to protect the country’s security.

She also said that Bytyqi was thanked for his engagement so far and was wished success in the new term.

The Kosovo Intelligence Agency is the institution responsible for collecting and analyzing information of importance to the country’s security.
