Time Kadrijaj, the newly elected MP from the ranks of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), has expressed her conviction that there are individuals in the country’s political scene who use narcotic substances.

She referred to her party’s proposal requiring all lawmakers to undergo a drug test.
Kadrijaj herself stated that she has already completed the test and that the result came back negative.
“I do not think it is dignified for someone holding high decision-making positions to be a drug user. I challenge them to take the tests, as I did. Statistics show us that this phenomenon in Kosovo is increasing, especially among young people,” she said.
When asked directly whether she believes there are politicians who take prohibited substances, the newly elected AAK MP gave an affirmative answer.
“I am of the opinion that yes, there are people who use them. This can be noticed from the way they behave, from their gestures,” Kadrijaj affirmed.
Without mentioning any specific names, her statements came at a time when the initiative for mandatory drug testing of MPs has sparked widespread discussion in Kosovar politics.
