As they marched, protesters called for a “New Albania.”
The main demand, which they describe as non-negotiable, is the immediate departure of Edi Rama from his post as prime minister.
Protesters are also calling for the establishment of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate, which would prepare the country for the next elections. Their platform also includes the repeal of several legal initiatives considered harmful and contrary to the interests of Albanian citizens.
