Organizers have announced broad participation by compatriots living abroad. The diaspora described its presence at today’s protest as a sign of support and solidarity with citizens in Albania.
After gathering in the center of the capital, participants are expected to march toward Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard and the Prime Minister’s Office. Speeches will be delivered in the area, and the organizers will present their positions.
The rally follows more than two months of daily protests in Tirana. Protesters are demanding political change, the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, and the establishment of a transitional government that would lead the country toward new elections.
In calls published by diaspora communities on social media, Albanians both inside and outside the country have been urged to take part in the protest.
“The countdown has begun. Overcome your fear and take part in the protest. Rama’s days are numbered,” their appeal said.
Organizers have called for the largest possible peaceful turnout, describing this protest as one of the movement’s most important mobilizations. According to them, the diaspora’s involvement is a key element of the rally.
