A 51-year-old man has been rescued alive from a ravine in the village of Kapaj, Mallakastër, after accidentally falling from a height of around 50 metres.

The incident occurred while Fluturim Salobehaj, a resident of the village of Selitë in Mallakastër, is believed to have been trying to repair a water pipeline near the area.
This afternoon, his family found him injured and immediately alerted the police.
Mallakastër firefighters arrived at the scene and, despite the difficult mountainous terrain, managed to pull the 51-year-old from the ravine.
Salobehaj survived but suffered several fractures. He is being transported to Fier Regional Hospital, where he will receive medical treatment.
