“Ora News” television raised the alarm about the “disappearance” of 1,809,054 (one million eight hundred thousand) liters of expired “Coca-Cola” drinks.
It remains a mystery where the expired drinks ended up, because the National Environmental Agency has no information about the disposal, even though legally the Environmental Inspectors must participate in this process to document the disposal practice with photos and videos.

The scandal deepens further due to the fact that only the AKU inspectors were present in this process, who wrote and signed in the inspection report that the Environmental Inspectors were also present in this procedure.
The final decision quotes: “During the disposal process, both the Tax and Environmental Inspectors were present.”
In the facts made public by “Ora News” it results that during 2019 the KTA has no information about the disposals carried out by “Coca-Cola” and the inspectors were not present.
To favor the subject, the 2 inspectors of the AKU with the initials M. A and M. D have confirmed the participation of the Environmental Inspectors and this scheme is built to give the final decision that the disposal procedure was carried out in accordance with the legislation in force.
“Ora News” television has conducted a more in-depth investigation by requesting from the AKU the list of expired beverages that have been destroyed, as well as photos or videos of the destruction.
The AKU does not make any photos or videos of the disposal of expired beverages available to us and even further, it attempts to hide the violations when it states that the list of expired beverages of “Coca-Cola” is archived and takes time to prepare.
Even after 3 months of waiting, the AKU did not provide us with a list of the beverages that were destroyed, nor with photos and videos from the elimination process.
To clarify this situation, we also addressed a specific request for information to the entity “Coca-Cola Albania”.
In its response, this entity informs us that the processes regarding expired products follow the laws in force and are verifiable by the competent authorities.
It is precisely the authorities that monitor your work that have found a series of violations and it takes courage to declare that you follow the laws, while violating them.
Why is “Coca-Cola” silent when asked for photos and videos from the destruction process?
Why does it not provide information on the place where the destruction of expired beverages was carried out?
How is it possible that this entity violates the laws by not informing the Environmental Inspectorate about the destruction of expired beverages?
Where did 1.8 million liters of expired Coca-Cola end up?
Neither the National Environmental Agency, nor Coca-Cola, nor the AKU could answer this question, which did not provide us with a list of expired drinks and photos or videos from the moment of disposal.
