According to the forecast, the rain will at times be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and hail in mountainous areas, while winds will strengthen in mountainous terrain and along the coast. A drop in temperatures is also expected from Sunday.

“From today, we will see a change in the weather situation, with increasing cloud cover expected in the afternoon, particularly in the north and west along the mountains. Rainfall is forecast to be short-lived and localized, while in the evening we will see an increase in moderate to heavy cloud cover across the entire country.

Tomorrow, the weather is forecast to feature alternating periods of occasional clearing as well as moderate and heavy cloud cover across the entire country.

Rain is expected from the early hours across the entire country and will continue throughout the day. At times, thunderstorms and lightning are expected in the eastern areas, along with hail in mountainous terrain.

On Sunday, the weather will be unstable, with rain in the south of the country.

During Monday, the weather will be stable, while from Tuesday onward a deterioration in the weather situation is expected.

Over the weekend, winds will reach speeds of 8 meters per second and, at times, up to 16 meters per second in mountainous terrain and along the coast.

In mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to fall to as low as 13 degrees, while maximum temperatures will not exceed 30. In lowland areas, temperatures will range from 19 to 34, and in coastal areas from 22 to 34. From Sunday, a further temporary drop in temperatures is expected, ranging from 12 to 32 degrees,” forecaster Eneida Doçi said.

Many vacationers are taking advantage of the favorable temperatures to spend the remaining days of summer on the Albanian coast, although for some of them this is their next visit during the season.

Over the past 24 hours, 52,864 citizens and 13,531 vehicles have entered Albanian territory. At the same time, 35,072 citizens, along with 11,238 vehicles, have left the country.

The numbers remain high when the five-day period is considered as well. From August 24 to 28, 152,694 citizens and 46,870 vehicles entered through Morina, while 121,846 citizens and 37,148 vehicles were recorded leaving the country.

Morina continues to be one of the main crossing points between Kosovo and Albania. Authorities are continuing measures to manage the flow, with the aim of avoiding queues and speeding up travelers’ movement.
