He stressed that the minimum wage had remained unchanged for more than 10 years, at 130 and 170 euros depending on age. According to him, during the current government it has been increased several times, first to 250 euros, then to 350 euros, then to 425 euros, and now to 500 euros.

Kurti said that this increase directly affects around 150,000 private-sector workers, describing it as a step linked to the growth of welfare and the country’s economic development.

The minimum wage in our country remained unchanged for more than 10 years. 2011 was the last year when it was changed. Since then, it remained at 130 and 170 euros respectively (depending on whether you are under or over 35 years old).

Meanwhile, during our government it was raised four times: from 130 and 170 euros to 250 euros, then to 350 and most recently to 425 euros. And today the minimum wage became 500 euros. Around 150,000 private-sector workers will benefit from this increase.

So, for more than a decade before our government, the minimum wage was low and unchanged. Meanwhile, in less than half a decade with us, we have tripled the minimum wage.
