Acting Minister of Labor, Family and Kosovo Liberation War Values Andin Hoti met with Veton Berisha, a re-elected member of the Assembly of Kosovo and chairman of the Egyptian Liberal Party.

The discussion focused on the need to inform citizens about the programs and opportunities offered by the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo. Particular attention was paid to creating equal opportunities for all citizens, including members of minority communities.

Hoti said he also briefed Berisha on the draft of the new Law on Social Welfare and Social Protection Programs, which is part of the social policy reform.

According to the acting minister, one of the reform’s key changes is the elimination of the requirement for a child to be under the age of five as a prerequisite for receiving social assistance. The change aims to ensure fairer and more inclusive treatment for families in need.

He also announced that a Kosovo-wide awareness campaign would begin soon, aimed at providing citizens with more information about employment policies, vocational training programs and opportunities offered by the ministry.

Ministri në detyrë i Punës, Familjes dhe Vlerave të Luftës Çlirimtare, Andin Hoti, zhvilloi një takim me deputetin e rizgjedhur të Kuvendit të Kosovës, njëherësh kryetar i Partisë Liberale Egjiptiane, Veton Berisha.

Në qendër të bisedës ishte nevoja për t’i informuar qytetarët rreth programeve dhe mundësive të Agjencisë së Punësimit të Republikës së Kosovës. Vëmendje e posaçme iu kushtua krijimit të mundësive të barabarta për të gjithë qytetarët, përfshirë pjesëtarët e komuniteteve.

Hoti bëri të ditur se gjatë takimit e informoi Berishën edhe për draftin e Projektligjit të ri për Mirëqenie Sociale dhe Programet e Mbrojtjes Sociale, i cili përfshihet në reformën e politikave sociale.

Sipas ministrit në detyrë, ndër ndryshimet kryesore të kësaj reforme është eliminimi i kriterit të moshës pesëvjeçare të fëmijës si parakusht për marrjen e asistencës sociale. Ky ndryshim synon të sigurojë një trajtim më të drejtë dhe gjithëpërfshirës për familjet në nevojë.

Ai njoftoi gjithashtu se së shpejti do të fillojë një fushatë vetëdijësuese në mbarë Kosovën, me synim zgjerimin e informacionit për qytetarët mbi politikat e punësimit, programet e aftësimit profesional dhe mundësitë e ofruara nga ministria.
