Speaking about the modernization process, Misajlovski said that, in line with the budget and the planning that has been done, all obligations are being fulfilled. He stressed that even though this creates serious pressure on the defense budget, there are no delays in the arrival of equipment.

According to him, both the procurement of equipment and personnel development are progressing at an intensive pace.

The minister said that the budget is now above 2 percent and that, as was heard yesterday from NATO leaders, the country is above 4 percent in total. He described this as very important news, both for the institution he leads and for the state, because, according to him, investments are being made in all capacities.

Misajlovski also touched on the 16 agreements signed with the United States, with a total value of 339 million U.S. dollars. He explained that part of this amount is covered by North Macedonia’s budget, while the other part comes as support from the United States.

He also mentioned the European Union’s assistance through the European Peace Facility, with a total value of more than 40 million euros. This concerns equipment divided into three shipments, with the first having arrived in full, while the equipment from the second shipment is currently on the way.

Ministri i Mbrojtjes, Vllado Misajlovski, ka bërë sot një përmbledhje të rezultateve në fushën e mbrojtjes dhe të Ushtrisë gjatë dy viteve të fundit, duke nënvizuar se vendi mbetet i sigurt dhe se modernizimi i Ushtrisë po vazhdon.

Duke folur për procesin e modernizimit, Misajlovski tha se, në përputhje me buxhetin dhe planifikimin e bërë, po përmbushen të gjitha obligimet. Ai theksoi se, edhe pse kjo krijon presion serioz mbi buxhetin e mbrojtjes, nuk ka asnjë vonesë në ardhjen e pajisjeve.

Sipas tij, si furnizimi me pajisje ashtu edhe zhvillimi i personelit po ecin me ritëm intensiv.

Ministri deklaroi se buxheti tashmë është mbi 2 përqind dhe se, siç u dëgjua dje nga udhëheqësit e NATO-s, në total vendi është mbi 4 përqind. Ai e cilësoi këtë si një lajm shumë të rëndësishëm, si për institucionin që drejton, ashtu edhe për shtetin, pasi sipas tij po investohet në të gjitha kapacitetet.

Misajlovski u ndal edhe te 16 marrëveshjet e nënshkruara me Shtetet e Bashkuara, me vlerë të përgjithshme prej 339 milionë dollarësh amerikanë. Ai sqaroi se një pjesë e kësaj shume mbulohet nga buxheti i Maqedonisë, ndërsa pjesa tjetër vjen si mbështetje nga Shtetet e Bashkuara.

Po ashtu, ai përmendi edhe ndihmën e Bashkimit Evropian përmes Fondit Evropian për Paqe, në vlerë totale mbi 40 milionë euro. Bëhet fjalë për pajisje të ndara në tre dërgesa, ku e para ka mbërritur e plotë, ndërsa pajisjet nga dërgesa e dytë janë aktualisht në ardhje.
