The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has carried out a controlled shutdown of Unit A3 after a technical fault was detected.

According to KEK’s announcement, the shutdown took place at 22:17 as a preventive measure to avoid further damage to the equipment.

“The shutdown was undertaken as a preventive measure to preserve the equipment’s technical condition and create safe conditions for intervention and repair of the fault,” the announcement said.

KEK’s professional teams have begun working to manage the situation and repair the fault.

Unit A3 will return to operation once the necessary work has been completed and safe operating conditions have been verified.
