In a statement shared on social media, lawyer Tomë Gashi has claimed that some former political figures are experiencing a state of panic, linked to the progress of cases at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

Gashi specifies that one former senior official offered to testify before the Prosecution on topics he claims the individual did not actually know about, singling out the case of Astrit Dehari’s samples. He alleges that the statement given was unfounded and without any concrete legal weight.

Furthermore, he reports that due to their public posts, several individuals with similar profiles have been summoned by the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office, not in Prishtina, but directly in The Hague. Some have had to provide explanations for references to what they called the “Likoc prison” during the conflict, while others have been questioned about persistent claims that the Kosovo Liberation Army had committed war crimes. According to Gashi, there were even those who, without being called by the court, declared that the KLA maintained camps for mistreatment inside Kosovo and Albania.

Referring to Nasim Haradinaj’s claims, he adds that some of these individuals have now been identified by name, while others will be made public after September 16. According to these claims, the persons in question served as witnesses for the Prosecution, not the defense, and this will come to light. Gashi emphasizes that this is the reason for the deep concern that is gripping them, as everything will soon be revealed. All these assertions remain at the level of claims by Gashi and Haradinaj, without official confirmation from competent authorities.

Në një deklaratë të shpërndarë në rrjete sociale, avokati Tomë Gashi ka hedhur pretendimin se një pjesë e ish-figurave politike po përjetojnë një gjendje paniku, të lidhur kjo me ecurinë e çështjeve në Dhomat e Specializuara të Hagës.

Gashi saktëson se një ish-zyrtar i lartë iu ofrua Prokurorisë për të dhënë dëshmi edhe mbi tema që, sipas tij, realisht nuk i njihte, duke veçuar rastin e mostrave të Astrit Deharit. Ai pretendon se deklarata e dhënë ishte e pabazuar dhe pa ndonjë peshë konkrete ligjore.

Më tej, ai njofton se për shkak të postimeve të tyre publike, disa individë me profil të ngjashëm janë thirrur nga Prokuroria Speciale, jo në Prishtinë, por drejtpërdrejt në Hagë. Disave u është dashur të japin sqarime për referencat ndaj asaj që e quanin “burgu i Likocit” gjatë konfliktit, ndërsa të tjerë janë pyetur mbi pohimet e vazhdueshme se Ushtria Çlirimtare e Kosovës kishte kryer krime lufte. Sipas Gashit, ka pasur edhe prej atyre që, pa u thirrur nga gjykata, kanë deklaruar se UÇK-ja mbante kampe për keqtrajtime brenda Kosovës dhe Shqipërisë.

Duke iu referuar pretendimeve të Nasim Haradinajt, ai shton se një pjesë e këtyre personave tashmë janë identifikuar me emër, ndërsa të tjerë do të bëhen publikë pas 16 shtatorit. Sipas këtyre pretendimeve, personat në fjalë kanë shërbyer si dëshmitarë të Prokurorisë, e jo të mbrojtjes, dhe kjo do të dalë në dritë. Gashi thekson se kjo është arsyeja e shqetësimit të thellë që po i kaplon, pasi gjithçka do të zbardhet së shpejti. Të gjitha këto pohime mbeten në nivelin e pretendimeve nga Gashi dhe Haradinaj, pa u konfirmuar zyrtarisht nga autoritetet kompetente.

Lawyer Tomë Gashi has expressed strong opposition to the idea of reinstating Serbian officials who withdrew from their duties in Kosovo institutions during 2022.

According to him, the departure of around 600 police officers and a number of judges and prosecutors from the Serb community was not voluntary, but dictated by official Belgrade with the aim of undermining Kosovo’s state structures.

Gashi has called unacceptable the voices supporting their return after so many years, arguing that abandoning one’s job cannot be rewarded with reinstatement, as this essentially strikes at the principles of a rule-of-law state.

In a lengthy post, he used a harsh tone to ask the public: “Are you crazy, or what?”

He recalled that the wave of resignations came as a result of Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s decision to implement the measure of reciprocity on vehicle license plates. According to Gashi, this action by Kurti, which prohibited the entry of cars with plates bearing symbols of Serbia, was an act of defending sovereignty, something previous leaders had not done.

The lawyer emphasizes that four years after the resignations, the same individuals, along with some judges and prosecutors, now seek to return to work. Gashi underscores that this new move, also orchestrated according to him by Serbia, aims to further weaken the Republic of Kosovo, which they do not respect.

He concluded his reaction by harshly attacking those who promote such a thing, comparing them to a prosecution witness in The Hague in the trial against former president Thaçi, and raising the rhetorical question of how someone who misses work for four days loses their right, let alone those who abandoned their duty for four years.

Avokati Tomë Gashi ka shprehur kundërshtim të fortë ndaj idesë së rikthimit të zyrtarëve serbë, të cilët u tërhoqën nga detyra në institucionet kosovare gjatë vitit 2022.

Sipas tij, largimi i rreth 600 pjesëtarëve të policisë dhe një numri gjyqtarësh e prokurorësh të komunitetit serb nuk ishte vullnetar, por i diktuar nga Beogradi zyrtar me synim minin e strukturave shtetërore të Kosovës.

Gashi i ka quajtur të papranueshme zërat që mbështesin rikthimin e tyre pas kaq vitesh, duke argumentuar se braktisja e punës nuk mund të shpërblehet me riformësim, pasi kjo në thelb godet parimet e një shteti ligjor.

Në një postim të gjatë, ai përdori një ton të ashpër për të pyetur opinionin publik: “A jeni tranu a?”.

Ai rikujtoi se vala e dorëheqjeve erdhi si pasojë e vendimit të kryeministrit Albin Kurti për të zbatuar masën e reciprocitetit ndaj targave të automjeteve. Sipas Gashit, ky veprim i Kurtit, që ndalonte hyrjen e makinave me targa simbole të Serbisë, ishte një akt mbrojtjeje i sovranitetit, diçka që liderët e mëparshëm nuk e kishin bërë.

Avokati thekson se pas katër vjetësh nga dorëheqjet, të njëjtët individë, bashkë me disa gjyqtarë e prokurorë, tani kërkojnë të rikthehen në punë. Gashi nënvizon se kjo lëvizje e re, gjithashtu e orkestruar sipas tij nga Serbia, synon të dobësojë më tej Republikën e Kosovës, të cilën ata nuk e respektojnë.

Ai e mbylli reagimin e tij duke sulmuar ashpër ata që promovojnë një gjë të tillë, duke i krahasuar me një dëshmitar të prokurorisë në Hagë në procesin kundër ish-presidentit Thaçi, dhe duke ngritur pyetjen retorike se si dikush që mungon katër ditë në punë humbet të drejtën, e jo më ata që e braktisën detyrën për katër vjet.

According to Gashi, he was the legal representative in both cases and the state authorities lost both proceedings after the court annulled the decisions that had been made. He also stressed that Dejona Mihali is a citizen of Kosovo and, for that reason, cannot be deported from the country.

In his reaction, Gashi harshly attacked PDK and LDK, claiming that through their actions at that time they had harmed Kosovo’s relations with Albania and with the United States of America.

They tried to do this for only one reason: Dejona and Tienmu Ma were advisers to Albin Kurti.

The government of the time lost both of these cases because the Court annulled these decisions, but the bitter feeling has remained forever.

I know this because I was the lawyer in both cases and both cases were won in Court!

Shame on you individuals from PDK and LDK and anyone else who, even today after the expulsion of a woman from Albania who is openly pro-Iranian, propose what you call reciprocity with Albania by proposing to declare Ms. Dejona Mihali non grata in order to deport her from Kosovo!

You poor people do not even know that Dejona is a citizen of Kosovo, something you ignorant people do not want to know.

And as for deporting Americans from Kosovo, some of you who are with Iran and with the devil would gladly do it, but you do not have the guts!

Këtë tentuan ta bejnë vetëm për një arsye: Dejona dhe Tienmu Ma ishin këshilltarë të Albin Kurtit.

Qeveria e atëhershme i ka humb të dy këto raste, sepse Gjykata i ka anulu këto vendime , por ndjenja e idhët ka mbetë përjetësisht .

Unë këtë e di sepse kam qenë Avokat në të dy rastet dhe të dy rastet në Gjykatë janë fitu!
