Analyst Melazim Koci has commented on statements by American Congressman Joe Wilson, one of the authors of the “Srbija Act” bill, who criticized Serbia for moving closer to Russia, China and Iran during the presidency of Aleksandar Vuçiq.

According to Wilson, Belgrade is moving away from the principles of the rule of law and creating a risk to the stability of the region. Koci believes the greatest concern relates to the accusation that Serbia has moved closer to the “terrorist regime in Tehran.”

Republican Congressman Joe Wilson made the statement in a social media post, directly accusing the Belgrade government of strengthening its ties with Russia, China and Iran under Vuçiq’s leadership, while “threatening to destabilize the region and beyond.”

Koci emphasizes that this is the first time an American congressman has publicly made such an accusation against Belgrade.
