In a social media post, Albanian President Bajram Begaj commemorated the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States of America, honoring the 2,977 victims who lost their lives.

Begaj expressed his condolences and solidarity with the victims’ families and loved ones.

“A quarter of a century has passed, but for America, us and our allies, with whom we share the same values, September 11 remains a collective memory that has reshaped our lives, bearing witness to the fact that hateful ideologies bring terrible consequences.

Over these years, America, this great and strong nation, has shown the world that it cannot be defeated by anything,” the President wrote.

The Head of State also reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation and building a safer and more peaceful world for future generations.
