This morning, a grave incident shook the Kukës area, where a police officer from Kosovo was found lifeless in the cemetery of the village of Morina.

The victim has been identified as citizen Sh. H., 35 years old, a resident of Prizren and a member of the Rapid Reaction Unit in that city.

His body was found lifeless around 08:25 on July 22, 2026.

According to preliminary investigative data, it is suspected that the 35-year-old ended his life using a firearm, a pistol, which was immediately seized by law enforcement as material evidence.

A specialized investigative group, led by the Prosecution, is at the scene and continuing work to clarify all the circumstances of this incident.

Also, the State Police is coordinating actions with the Kosovo Police. The goal is to verify whether the seized weapon is precisely the service weapon of the deceased, as well as to secure any other details that will serve for the full legal documentation of the case.
