Two residents of the village of Bansko, E.N. (21) and Xh.M. (29), were detained yesterday (25.08.2026) at 17:00 by police officers from the Strumica Police Department, North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry reported.

During a court-ordered search of E.N.’s home, police found packages of marijuana, as well as a cannabis plant stalk.

Xh.M. was also found at E.N.’s home, and marijuana was discovered on him during a search. The public prosecutor at the Strumica Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office was notified of the incident, while the Interior Ministry announced that the appropriate charges would be filed once the case had been fully documented.

Gjatë bastisjes së kryer me urdhër gjykate në banesën e E.N., policia gjeti paketime me marihuanë, si dhe një kërcell të bimës së kanabisit.

Në shtëpinë e E.N. u has edhe Xh.M., të cilit gjatë kontrollit iu gjet marihuanë. Për ngjarjen është vënë në dijeni prokurori publik i Prokurorisë Themelore Publike – Strumicë, ndërsa MPB bëri të ditur se, pasi çështja të dokumentohet, do të parashtrohet kallëzimi përkatës.

Farmers from Strumica continued their protest today, blockading the city center. They are demanding that red peppers be purchased at higher prices and have expressed outrage at what they consider negligence on the part of the Ministry of Agriculture and purchasing companies.

Extra-class peppers, which are exported, are currently being bought at 40 denars per kilogram, while the price for peppers sent for processing is 25 denars. According to the farmers, these rates are insufficient to cover production costs.

The protests began on Thursday, and the farmers have announced they will continue the blockades. They are demanding immediate intervention from institutions and the setting of higher purchase prices. With the harvest season still in its early stages, the farmers warn they could face even greater losses.

“It’s pitiful and shameful to struggle in these weather conditions. The land burns under that sun while you try to produce a lot of goods, and they want to take it for nothing. You can’t survive, let alone produce any other crop for next year,” said one farmer./TV21/

Bujqit nga Strumica vijuan edhe sot protestën e tyre, duke bllokuar qendrën e qytetit. Ata kërkojnë që speci i kuq të blihet me çmime më të larta dhe shprehen të revoltuar me atë që e konsiderojnë neglizhencë nga Ministria e Bujqësisë dhe kompanitë blerëse.

Speci i klasës ekstra, i cili eksportohet, aktualisht blihet për 40 denarë kilogrami, ndërsa çmimi për specin që dërgohet në përpunim është 25 denarë. Sipas bujqve, këto tarifa nuk mjaftojnë për të përballuar kostot e prodhimit.

Protestat nisën të enjten dhe fermerët kanë bërë të ditur se do t’i vijojnë bllokadat. Ata u kërkojnë institucioneve ndërhyrje të menjëhershme dhe vendosjen e çmimeve më të larta të blerjes. Me sezonin e grumbullimit ende në fazat e para, bujqit paralajmërojnë se mund të përballen me humbje edhe më të mëdha.

Producers expect Agriculture Minister Borçe Serafimovski to take concrete steps following a meeting held in Strumica a day earlier. According to the farmers, the minister expressed his willingness to consider their demands, but must first speak with representatives of the processing companies before making a decision. These companies are currently offering 25 denars per kilogram.

“The minister promised us yesterday that he would work to secure a higher purchase price. If an acceptable price is not reached—one that at least covers our production costs—we will resume protests and blockades starting Tuesday,” said Aleksandar Grozdanov, a representative of the Mladi Murtino Association.

The farmers’ protests and blockades have now entered their third day. Their main demand is for the purchase price to be calculated based on actual production costs.

The farmers consider the change in price compared with last year unjustifiable. At that time, mixed first- and second-grade peppers sent to canning industry factories for processing were purchased for 35 to 40 denars per kilogram, while this year the price has fallen to 25 denars.

According to the producers, the amount currently being offered does not cover production costs. They have warned that the protests will continue unless a concrete solution is offered.

They are calling on the institutions and processing companies to hold negotiations and set a price that allows farmers to cover their costs and continue production.

Me traktorë dhe mjete të tjera bujqësore, fermerët e rajonit të Strumicës kanë paralizuar qendrën e qytetit. Protesta vjen si kundërshtim ndaj çmimit aktual të blerjes së specave të Kërtovskës, të cilët përdoren nga industria e konservimit dhe përpunimit.

Prodhuesit presin që ministri i Bujqësisë, Borçe Serafimovski, të ndërmarrë hapa konkretë pas takimit të zhvilluar një ditë më parë në Strumicë. Sipas tyre, ministri është shprehur i gatshëm t’i shqyrtojë kërkesat, por para se të marrë një vendim duhet të bisedojë me përfaqësuesit e kapaciteteve përpunuese. Aktualisht, këto kompani ofrojnë 25 denarë për një kilogram.

“Ministri na premtoi dje se do të angazhohet për gjetjen e një çmimi më të lartë blerjeje. Nëse nuk arrihet një vlerë e pranueshme, që të paktën të mbulojmë shpenzimet e prodhimit, nga e marta do të rikthehemi në protesta dhe bllokada”, deklaroi Aleksandar Grozdanov, përfaqësues i Shoqatës “Mladi Murtino”.

Protestat dhe bllokadat e fermerëve kanë hyrë tashmë në ditën e tretë. Kërkesa e tyre kryesore është që çmimi i blerjes të llogaritet mbi bazën e kostove reale të prodhimit.
