The SafeJournalists Network has responded to the regulations of the Special Anti-Corruption Court (GJKKO), specifically the provisions affecting the media, calling on the Special Court to suspend their implementation and launch a review process through consultation with media and civil society stakeholders.

In a statement published on social media, SafeJournalists called on the Special Court to take measures to suspend the implementation of the contested media-related provisions.

“The SafeJournalists Network calls on the Special Court to suspend the implementation of the contested media-related provisions and undertake a focused review through meaningful consultation with journalists, media organizations, legal experts and civil society,” the statement said.
