Tetovo police have handcuffed three individuals and confiscated various ammunition and equipment, on suspicion that they fired guns at a house in the city.

According to the official statement, on August 10, 2026, around 2:45 p.m., law enforcement of SPB Tetovo arrested citizen A.Xh., 34 years old, resident of Sellcë village. He is accused of committing the criminal offense of “causing general danger,” as he is suspected that two days earlier, on August 8, 2026, in the early morning hours around 4:20 a.m., he fired several shots with an automatic rifle from a motorcycle towards the house of Sh.B., 48 years old, and then sped away.

In continuation of the investigation, on the same day, between 8:00 p.m. and 10:55 p.m., police officers with a court warrant conducted a search at the apartment and auxiliary premises of D.S., 44 years old, in Tetovo. During this operation, 66 hunting cartridges of 12 mm caliber, two helmets, two video surveillance camera devices, and a memory card were discovered and seized.

In the framework of the same case, F.S., 58 years old, resident of Tetovo, has also been deprived of liberty, who is suspected of providing assistance for the crime, under Article 24, as well as for the criminal offense of production, possession, mediation, and unauthorized sale of weapons or explosive substances, according to Article 396 of the Criminal Code.

Furthermore, around 11:40 p.m., another person named F.S., 31 years old from Tetovo, voluntarily appeared at the SPB Tetovo premises for questioning regarding the event.

All three arrested persons are being detained at the police station, and after the completion of investigation and full documentation of the case, relevant criminal charges will be filed against them, concluded the statement of SPB Tetovo.

According to police, the individuals were found to be staying irregularly and without having reported their presence in this area.

They were taken to the Tetovo Police Station for further proceedings, and the appropriate charges will be filed against them under the Law on Foreigners, SPB said.

According to the announcement, on 22.06.2026, at 17:05, SPB Tetovo was notified that a fire had broken out in a house in this village, owned by A.S. (46).

As stated, no one was injured, while the flames were brought under control by the team of the Tetovo Territorial Firefighting Unit.

SPB Tetovo also said that the scene investigation was carried out by the DP Grupçin team.

SPB Tetovo said that all three individuals were detained, their vehicles were seized, and the appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against them under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.
