Socialist Party chairman and Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold a meeting today with the Socialist Party parliamentary group and members of the government. The meeting is scheduled for 10:00 and will be held at the Palace of Brigades.

One of the main issues expected to be discussed is the “Loyal Presence” concept, presented as a new way of organizing Socialists on the ground.

Under this concept, MPs, political leaders and local party structures must remain close to citizens at all times in order to identify their concerns and follow up on the issues raised.

It remains unclear whether Edi Rama will also announce during the meeting that the Socialist Party’s National Assembly will be convened, a practice usually followed after meetings of this kind.

It is equally uncertain whether changes to the composition of the government will be announced at the meeting.

The government held its first meeting of the season a day earlier. During the meeting, it was announced that Health Minister Evis Sala had submitted her resignation after serving in the post for nearly a year.
