The General Department of the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica has asked the Basic Court in Mitrovica to impose pretrial detention on three defendants identified by the initials H.K., A.G. and E.G. They are suspected of the criminal offense of “Accepting Bribes in the Private Sector.”

The Prosecution’s request states that there is grounded suspicion that, on February 6, 2026, inside the Mitrovica Bus Station building, H.K., an instructor at a driving school, and A.G., a former instructor at the same driving school, received unspecified sums of money to secure candidates’ passage of the theoretical driving license test.

The Prosecution suspects that an electronic device with a camera had been installed in the clothing of candidate K.K., while an earpiece had been placed in her ear. Through these devices, she was allegedly given the correct answers during the test. According to the same allegations, this method was also used with candidate A.D.

Another case allegedly occurred on August 31, 2026, when H.K. and E.G., acting in cooperation, allegedly accepted unknown sums of money to enable candidates A.R. and F.Z. to pass the theoretical driving license test.

According to the Prosecution, candidate A.R. was provided with a black shirt into which an electronic device had been installed, as well as an earpiece. Candidate F.Z., meanwhile, was allegedly given a black vest with an electronic device installed and an earpiece.

The request alleges that the suspects had been instructed to receive the correct answers during the test using these devices.

The Basic Court in Mitrovica will hold a hearing at which the request to impose pretrial detention is expected to be examined.

The Privatization Agency of Kosovo has announced the launch of a new procedure for the sale of assets belonging to socially owned enterprises undergoing liquidation. Through this announcement, PAK has invited interested investors to participate in the tender and submit bids for the assets on offer.

A total of 258 assets are included in the process, classified according to their categories and development potential. The list includes agricultural units, including properties with land suitable for intensive farming and fruit cultivation; residential units for urban and rural housing projects; commercial properties for business activities; warehouses that can be used for storage or logistics; and business premises with potential for new investment.

The properties are located across all six regions of Kosovo and vary in size, from small units suitable for individual investors to larger properties that could be transformed into centers for rural development, agribusiness, or housing projects. According to PAK, this round of sales aims to create concrete investment opportunities in agriculture, housing, trade, and services, while contributing to economic development.

Sealed bids for the units and assets included in Liquidation Asset Sale No. 75 must be submitted on September 9, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., in the “Conference Hall – Grand Hotel” in Pristina. The documentation must be accompanied by the bid deposit and submission fee, in accordance with the conditions specified for each unit.

The bids will be opened on the same day, starting at 12:30 p.m. Until then, interested parties may obtain more detailed information and visit the properties offered for sale.

PAK has invited individuals, businesses, members of the diaspora, and foreign investors to apply through this transparent and supervised process, describing the assets as valuable investment opportunities with high development potential.

The Board of Directors of the Kosovo Privatization Agency (KPA) has decided to publish the list of 260 retendered assets, which will be offered for sale soon through the liquidation procedure.

The list will be made public as part of the “SHAL 75” sales cycle and includes a total of 260 retendered assets.

This decision, along with a series of other issues related to privatization, liquidation, leasing, and institutional administration, was approved at the Board’s regular meeting held on July 29.

While handling direct negotiation sales, the Board approved two requests for further procedural steps, while rejecting 12 other requests. It also approved 10 final reports and authorized the continuation of procedures for sales contracts.

For two socially-owned enterprises, the Board approved the allocation of 261,736.50 euros to creditors. S.O.E. “Xim Strezovci” will distribute 236,900.20 euros to 64 creditors, while S.O.E. “Komogllava” will distribute 24,836.30 euros to eight creditors. A decision was also made on an additional budget for five socially-owned enterprises where liquidation processes have not yet concluded.

Regarding socially-owned apartments, one purchase request was approved, while three requests were rejected due to lack of documentation. In another case, the Board declared a lack of competence, as the request did not pertain to a socially-owned enterprise.

Concerning the leasing of assets from socially-owned enterprises under direct administration, the Board reviewed five assets. No bids were submitted for one of them, while bids for the other four assets were rejected, as the reference prices will undergo reassessment.

According to the media announcement, the Board was also informed about the results of the public leasing process for 73 units of socially-owned enterprises in liquidation. In this process, eight commercial leases and 22 annual leases were approved. For the remaining assets, there were no bids or the bidders withdrew due to property-legal issues.

During the meeting, the Semi-Annual Work Report of the Internal Audit Division for the year 2026 was also approved. The Board also approved the Regulation on Personal Data Protection, in accordance with the requirements of the Information and Privacy Agency.

Another decision relates to the methodology for determining the indicative price for asset sales. According to the approved changes, the discount will be 0 percent in the first tender, 10 percent in the second, 20 percent in the third, and 40 percent from the fourth tender onwards. The aim of this change is to increase the transparency and predictability of the process.

The Board also decided that, after the completion of relevant procedures, it will review and approve the Regulation for S.O.E. “Inex Sharr Planina Brezovica” at one of its upcoming meetings.
