The meeting held on August 4 between acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku ended without a political agreement.

Following the discussion between the two leaders, analyst Rron Gjinovci reacted by describing the LDK as the party in the weakest negotiating position. According to him, a new electoral process could have serious consequences for the party.

Gjinovci addressed Abdixhiku in a critical tone, suggesting that he secure whatever he can from the negotiations and use the four-year term to rebuild the LDK. He warned that if the country goes to elections once again, the fractured, divided and exhausted party could move toward extinction, even risking failure to cross the electoral threshold.

Kurti, meanwhile, said the meeting had explored possible ways to overcome the deadlock. He stressed that the solution must be based on an agreement that respects the election result and ensures institutional stability.

Abdixhiku said the dialogue could continue even after the constitutive session on August 6. He also clarified that the LDK is not seeking the post of Assembly speaker.

Takimi i zhvilluar më 4 gusht ndërmjet kryeministrit në detyrë, Albin Kurti, dhe kreut të LDK-së, Lumir Abdixhiku, përfundoi pa një marrëveshje politike.

Pas bisedës mes dy liderëve, analisti Rron Gjinovci reagoi duke e cilësuar LDK-në si subjektin me pozitën më të pafavorshme në negociata. Sipas tij, një proces i ri zgjedhor mund t’i shkaktojë pasoja të rënda kësaj partie.

Gjinovci iu drejtua Abdixhikut me tone kritike, duke i sugjeruar që të sigurojë çfarëdo që mundet nga negociatat dhe ta shfrytëzojë mandatin katërvjeçar për rimëkëmbjen e LDK-së. Ai paralajmëroi se, nëse vendi shkon edhe një herë në zgjedhje, partia e përçarë, e ndarë dhe e lodhur mund të ecë drejt shuarjes, madje duke rrezikuar edhe kalimin e pragut.

Nga ana tjetër, Kurti deklaroi se në takim ishin shqyrtuar mundësitë për tejkalimin e bllokadës. Ai nënvizoi se zgjidhja duhet të mbështetet në një marrëveshje që respekton rezultatin e zgjedhjeve dhe siguron qëndrueshmëri institucionale.

Abdixhiku bëri të ditur se dialogu mund të vijojë edhe pas seancës konstituive të 6 gushtit. Ai sqaroi gjithashtu se LDK-ja nuk e ka si synim marrjen e postit të kryetarit të Kuvendit.

Analyst Rron Gjinovci issued a strong reaction following reports that Serbian authorities had detained a man of Serbian origin from Istog. He is accused of espionage because he had previously provided testimony concerning a mass grave recently discovered in Mitrovica.

In a post on social media, Gjinovci stressed that the very nature of the accusation—espionage—reveals Serbia’s position on the matter. According to him, treating the mass grave as a “state secret” necessarily implies that its discovery threatens a truth for which the state bears direct responsibility.

He argued that information is classified as a state secret precisely because it concerns serious implications for the state itself. “Serbia is admitting that the mass grave is its state secret. Because you can only commit espionage when you uncover state secrets,” Gjinovci explained in his reaction, concluding that this action confirms state involvement.

Analisti Rron Gjinovci ka dhënë një reagim të ashpër pas lajmit se autoritetet serbe kanë ndaluar një burrë me origjinë serbe nga Istogu. Ai akuzohet për spiunazh, për shkak se në të kaluarën kishte dhënë dëshmi lidhur me një varr masiv të zbuluar rishtazi në Mitrovicë.

Përmes një shkrimi në platformat sociale, Gjinovci theksoi se vetë natyra e akuzës – spiunazhi – zbulon qëndrimin e Serbisë ndaj kësaj çështjeje. Sipas tij, trajtimi i varrit masiv si një “sekret shtetëror” nënkupton domosdoshmërisht që zbulimi i tij cenon një të vërtetë për të cilën shteti ka përgjegjësi direkte.

Ai argumentoi se një informacion klasifikohet si sekret shtetëror pikërisht sepse ka të bëjë me implikime të rënda për vetë shtetin. “Serbia po e pranon që ajo varrezë masive është sekret shtetnor i saj. Sepse spiunazh munësh me bo veç kur i zbulon sekretet shtetnore,” shpjegoi Gjinovci në reagimin e tij, duke nxjerrë përfundimin se ky veprim konfirmon implikimin shtetëror.

According to him, these protagonists embrace the identity of the Kosovo Liberation Army only when facing justice or indictments, while in other circumstances they choose to present themselves simply as individuals. In this context, Gjinovci recalled the hours-long wait for the Serb List to secure the formation of the PAN government, citing this fact as a critical point against the former leaders.

I watched a video in the Municipal Assembly of North Mitrovica and wrote that I was struck that the hall had the flag of Kosovo and the photo of the President of Kosovo, and I also wrote that when the KLA was in power it was full of Serbian flags. Immediately comes the remark that it was unfair to say ‘when the KLA was in power’. We’re talking about the period when Hashim Thaçi was President, Kadri Veseli was Speaker of Parliament, Ramush Haradinaj was Prime Minister. Come on, because these guys are in the KLA only when they’re judged or accused, right? Or when they waited for the Serb List for 6 hours to form the PAN government, they weren’t KLA, they were just individuals (allow me to add: wealthy 😀).”

Gjinovci noted that what caught his attention was the presence of the portrait of Kosovo’s president and the state flag, as well as the communication where each participant speaks in their own language. He recalled that, in his perception, earlier similar meetings were characterized solely by Serbian symbols.

“What first strikes me is the photograph of the president and the flag of Kosovo. Also, the way they discuss, each in their own language. 👌 At the time when the government was led by ‘UÇK’, there were only Serbian flags there,” Gjinovci wrote on Facebook.

According to Gjinovci, Rama’s statement that before taking office Kosovo was told what to do, but no longer after, is completely inconsistent and serves to hide the truth.

He stressed that Rama is now trying to ease tensions with Kosovo as he faces daily protests by thousands of citizens, but he cannot erase the past. Gjinovci recalled that the same prime minister had traveled to Pristina by helicopter, invited by former President Hashim Thaçi, to persuade Kosovar lawmakers to approve the establishment of the Special Court.

This, according to him, proves Rama’s open involvement in Kosovo’s internal decision-making, dismissing his claim that he no longer interferes in the affairs of the neighboring country.

Sipas Gjinovcit, deklarata e Ramës se përpara marrjes së detyrës i tregohej Kosovës ç’duhej bërë, por jo më pas, është krejtësisht e paqëndrueshme dhe shërben për të fshehur të vërtetën.
