Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of failing to provide any explanation for 12 days regarding the audio recordings published by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj.

In the recordings, Israeli citizen Ron Yeffet is presented as the coordinator of the government’s corrupt operations.

Këlliçi said the intercepted conversations expose a new incriminating scheme involving international arms trafficking, interference in public tenders and influence over the decision-making of several cabinet ministers.

According to the opposition representative, the ruling majority rejected the establishment of a parliamentary investigative commission because it fears the exposure of the network of brokers managing Albania’s funds and strategic projects.

He said that, although Rama responded by obstructing the parliamentary investigation requested by the Democratic Party, he continues to believe that he owes the public no explanation.

The Democratic MP said an investigation by Parliament would uncover the corrupt and criminal mechanism that, according to him, the prime minister has established through several coordinators for illicit activities.

Këlliçi mentioned Gysin for one sector, Ron for several ministries and Saniel, who, he said, is expected to soon take on the role of health coordinator.

Continuing his statement, Këlliçi referred to Yeffet’s communications with foreign businesspeople.

According to him, the Israeli citizen bypassed state legal procedures and used the Prime Minister’s Office staff, while the executive branch continues not to distance itself from him.

Këlliçi said that Edi Rama’s Israeli friend had told his Ukrainian partners that he had been appointed by the prime minister to carry out illicit operations.

According to the MP, Yeffet had also made the prime minister’s aide, Ermal Rraketa, available to them during the period when the latter worked at the Prime Minister’s Office and had not yet become a minister.

Këlliçi also said that Yeffet had told his interlocutors not to worry about the tenders, as he could conduct the procedures as he wished.

He had also asked them not to send official letters to the ministries, claiming that he would provide the answers himself.

The Democratic Party MP added that the Ukrainian company has now confirmed these conversations through its lawyer, but has distanced itself from Ron Yeffet, making it clear that it no longer has any connection with this speculator.

According to Këlliçi, the only person who has still not taken the same step is Edi Rama, because Yeffet still has work to finish and the Vlora Airport is at stake.

Këlliçi deklaroi se bisedat e përgjuara nxjerrin në pah një skemë të re inkriminimi, ku flitet për trafik ndërkombëtar armësh, ndërhyrje në tenderat publikë dhe ndikim mbi vendimmarrjen e disa ministrave të kabinetit qeveritar.

Sipas përfaqësuesit të opozitës, mazhoranca nuk pranoi krijimin e një komisioni hetimor parlamentar, pasi i druhet zbulimit të rrjetit të sekserëve që administron fondet dhe projektet strategjike të Shqipërisë.

Ai tha se, megjithëse Rama reagoi duke penguar hetimin parlamentar të kërkuar nga Partia Demokratike, vijon të mendojë se nuk i detyrohet publikut asnjë sqarim.

Deputeti demokrat u shpreh se një hetim nga Kuvendi do të zbulonte mekanizmin korruptiv dhe kriminal që, sipas tij, kryeministri ka ngritur përmes disa koordinatorëve të punëve të pista.

Këlliçi përmendi Gysin për një sektor, Ronin për disa ministri dhe Sanielin, i cili, siç deklaroi ai, pritet së shpejti të marrë rolin e koordinatorit të shëndetësisë.

Në vijim të deklaratës, Këlliçi iu referua komunikimeve të Yeffet me biznesmenë të huaj.

Sipas tij, shtetasi izraelit anashkalonte procedurat ligjore shtetërore dhe përdorte personelin e Kryeministrisë, ndërsa ekzekutivi vazhdon të mos distancohet prej tij.

Këlliçi tha se miku izraelit i Edi Ramës, u kishte deklaruar partnerëve ukrainas se ishte caktuar nga kryeministri për të realizuar punët e pista.

Sipas deputetit, Yeffet u kishte vënë në dispozicion edhe ndihmësin e kryeministrit, Ermal Rraketa, në periudhën kur ky i fundit punonte në Kryeministri dhe ende nuk ishte bërë ministër.

Po sipas Këlliçit, Yeffet u kishte thënë bashkëbiseduesve të mos shqetësoheshin për tenderat, pasi ai mund t’i zhvillonte procedurat sipas dëshirës së tij.

Gjithashtu, u kishte kërkuar të mos dërgonin shkresa zyrtare në ministri, duke pretenduar se përgjigjet do t’i jepte vetë.

Deputeti i PD-së shtoi se kompania ukrainase i ka konfirmuar tashmë këto biseda përmes avokatit të saj, por është distancuar nga Ron Yeffet, duke bërë të ditur se nuk ka më lidhje me këtë spekulant.

Sipas Këlliçit, i vetmi që ende nuk ka ndërmarrë të njëjtin hap është Edi Rama, pasi Yeffet ka ende punë për të përfunduar dhe në lojë është Aeroporti i Vlorës.

The head of the Democratic Party’s Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, clashed in Parliament with Prime Minister Edi Rama over the law on judges and prosecutors, accusing him of having designed a private state.

Bardhi reminded Rama that, in 2016, he proudly stated that judges and prosecutors would have higher salaries than his own, because he had designed the justice reform as a whip against the opposition.

But today, said the head of the DP parliamentary group, when judges and prosecutors have knocked on his door over major corruption cases, the prime minister is retaliating by withholding their salaries.

“In 2016, you were enthusiastic about judges and prosecutors having the highest possible salary, because you designed the justice reform as a whip against the opposition. But as soon as prosecutors and judges knocked on your door, first at Belinda’s and, very likely, very soon at yours too, you said: Wait! How did I make the mistake of treating them to a higher salary than my own?”, he said.

He also mentioned to the prime minister the accusations regarding Ron Yeffet, saying that the Israeli national speaks on behalf of Rama and the entire state.

Edi Rama conceives of the state as a private state. You do not respect the decisions of the Constitutional Court, because you treat its decisions as if they are part of your comedy act. If you don’t like them, you don’t implement them.

In 2016, you were enthusiastic about judges and prosecutors having the highest possible salary, because you designed the justice reform as a whip against the opposition. But as soon as prosecutors and judges knocked on your door, first at Belinda’s and, very likely, very soon at yours too, you said: Wait! How did I make the mistake of treating them to a higher salary than my own?

How can it be that judges and prosecutors, whose salaries you generously increased significantly in 2016, dare to knock on Parliament’s door without my permission to request the removal of the mandate of my deputy? How is it possible that judges and prosecutors suspend my deputy? I hold your salaries in my hands! I raised them, I lowered them!

Back then you were very enthusiastic, because you thought you were carrying out the justice reform only to strike at the opposition. You did not think you would be unable to control it, because for you it is unimaginable not to control everything.

You are used to controlling every tender in the Republic of Albania. You spoke of state-building! With whom will you build the state? With Ron Yeffet, who speaks on behalf of the entire state, even though he is an anonymous foreign national? The only connection is that he shares the money with you.

Atëherë ishe shumë entuziast, sepse mendove se reformën në drejtësi po e bëje vetëm për të goditur opozitën. Nuk mendove se nuk do ta kontrolloje dot, sepse për ty është e paimagjinueshme të mos kontrollosh gjithçka.

Je mësuar të kontrollosh çdo tender në Republikën e Shqipërisë. Fole ti për shtetbërje! Me kë do ta ndërtosh shtetin ti? Me Ron Yefetin, që flet në emër të gjithë shtetit, edhe pse është një shtetas i huaj anonim? E vetmja lidhje është se ndan paratë me ty.

If certain national and international rules are not observed in the movement of weapons, then we are dealing with arms smuggling and trafficking,” the Democratic leader said.

He stated that the opposition would pursue the issue both in Parliament and internationally.

“We will make every effort within Parliament, and we will make every effort internationally to highlight the serious threat this person poses to NATO, the region and Albania,” Sali Berisha said.

Nëse në lëvizjet e armëve nuk respektohen rregulla të caktuara kombëtare dhe ndërkombëtare kemi të bëjmë më kontrabandë dhe trafik armës”, tha lideri demokrat.

Ai deklaroi se opozita do ta ndjekë çështjen si në Kuvend, ashtu edhe në arenën ndërkombëtare.

“Ne do bëjmë çdo përpjekje brenda parlamentit, do bëjmë çdo përpjekje ndërkombëtare për të paraqitur rrezikshmërinë e lartë që ky person paraqet për NATO-n, Rajonin dhe Shqipërinë”, u shpreh Sali Berisha.

Sali Berisha also said that, following the allegations, Arben Ahmetaj had received threats against his family.

“It was an allegation of extraordinary importance, proving that a NATO member country is engaging in the dirty arms trade in violation of Albanian and international law. But I tell Albanians that if there are inseparable twins, they are drugs and arms, arms and drugs. In this context, I believe that Arben Ahmetaj’s allegation completes the true picture of this regime. I also denounce the threats made against Arben Ahmetaj’s wife and family members on the orders of Rama and the structures of the narco-state. Gjithashtu, Berisha përmendi emrin e biznesmenit Ron Yeffet, si një tjetër element të zinxhirit të akteve mafioze të Ramës, ndërsa shtoi se PD dorëzoi në Kuvend firmat për ngritjen e komisionit hetimor për vepritmarinë e kompanisë KAYO.

“Ron Yeffet që është varianti jo shqiptar i Ergys Agasit përbën edhe ai një element tjetër në zinxhirin e akteve mafioze të Edi Ramës. Sot janë dorëzuar firmat për komisionin hetimor parlamentar mbi veprimtarinë antikushtetuese të Edi Ramës dhe kompanisë së tij me Ronin, Veliun dhe me atë zonjën e autoblindave, ndrikulla Puca”, deklaroi kreu i PD.
