The Democratic Renewal of Macedonia (RDM) believes that identifying the specific individuals who caused the water pollution in Gostivar is necessary, but not sufficient.

According to RDM, this scandal cannot end merely with the punishment of individuals, as the main responsibility lies with a completely dysfunctional system.

The party says that incompetence and clientelism within institutions have created conditions in which public health is continually put at risk.
