This Friday, Albania’s territory will be affected by unstable weather, with cloud cover and rain showers in most of the country.

Precipitation is forecast to be light to locally moderate intensity in the counties of Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër, Tiranë, Elbasan, Berat, Korçë, and Gjirokastër, while in other counties it will be mainly light.

During the day, some areas are also expected to see local thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, which may bring temporary deterioration of weather conditions.

Temperatures will range from 17°C in the coolest areas to 26°C in the warmest.

At sea, waves of force 2 to 3 are expected.

The wind will blow from the northwest-northeast, with an average speed of 5-10 m/s, while at times, during storms, it is expected to gain intensity.

Thousands have lost their homes as floods and landslides have struck large parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka.

Last week several students and a teacher were killed when floodwaters inundated their school.
