The Organization of War Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army has called on the Kurti government to send amendments to the Law on Specialist Chambers to the Assembly without delay.

During a press conference, Gazmend Syla, deputy head of the KLA War Veterans Organization, warned that if their request is not taken into account, the veterans will express their dissatisfaction through street protests.

“If our demands are not taken into account, we understand that this is malicious, and we will take action. We will take to the streets, but we want to give our institutions a chance. We veterans will not sit idly by. We are giving this government a chance to reflect, and under other circumstances we will take to the streets,” he said.

According to him, the Law on Specialist Chambers must not be delayed any further, because former KLA leaders continue to have their actions restricted in The Hague.

Syla also invited all citizens to participate in the large march organized on October 1, calling on all segments of society to join in opposing The Hague’s conviction of the former KLA leaders.
