He announced that the protest is scheduled to begin at 19:00 in Podujeva’s main square, before continuing with a march to the old Municipality of Podujeva building.

The organizers’ demands include reviewing and tightening the Law on Weapons, creating a specialized unit for preventing violence in the community, more investment in mental health services, stricter checks for gun permits, awareness campaigns to educate citizens, as well as institutional accountability for failures in preventing violence.

Through their call, the organizers appealed to citizens to join the protest peacefully, under the slogan “No to violence – Yes to safety!”

Lezhë Police confirmed the incident, saying the minor was pulled from the water by beachgoers and was in poor condition.

According to the prosecution’s statement, the initial investigation data show that people with family ties were involved in this case, specifically an uncle and nephew, while the cause is suspected to have been an earlier dispute.

Prishtina, 02 July 2026 – The Basic Prosecution in Prishtina – Department for Serious Crimes informs the public that today, at around 13:40, in the “Dëshmorët Boulevard” square in the Municipality of Podujeva, an armed clash occurred between three (3) persons. As a result of the gunfire, three (3) persons involved in the incident, as well as a случай passerby, suffered bodily injuries.

According to the initial investigation data, it is suspected that persons with family ties (nephew and uncle) were involved in this incident, while the suspected motive in this matter is linked to a prior dispute.

Immediately after the information was received from the Kosovo Police, the duty prosecutor from the Department for Serious Crimes went to the scene and, in cooperation with the relevant units of the Kosovo Police, all necessary investigative measures and actions were undertaken to fully clarify the circumstances of this case.

In relation to these actions, the suspects are being investigated for committing the criminal offense of “Aggravated murder in attempted form,” under Article 173 in conjunction with Article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Those wounded by gunfire were sent to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) to receive the necessary medical treatment.

The Basic Prosecution in Prishtina, in full coordination with the Kosovo Police, is continuing to undertake all necessary investigative actions to fully clarify the circumstances of this incident.

“Sot nga zyrtarët e QKUK-së në Prishtinë, policia ka pranuar konfirmimin se L.F, mashkull, 18 vjeç, i cili ishte duke u trajtuar në njësinë e mjekimit intesiv ka ndërruar jetë. Në hetimin penal, që njësia e hetimeve të përgjithshme e rajonit të Prishtinës po kryente në drejtim të veprës penale “Vrasja në tentativë” përkitazi me rastin e ndodhur më 14.01.2024, në rrugën “Drenica” në Podujevë, i njëjti ka qenë viktimë. Ndërlidhur me ngjarjen po në të njëjtën ditë policia ka arrestuar dy persona të dyshuar të cilët janë dërguar në mbajtje si vijimësi e procesit hetimor. Trupi i pajetë i viktimës është dërguar në Institutin e Mjekësisë Ligjore, ndërkohë që në përputhje me rrethanat e reja, policia me autorizimin e prokurorit të shtetit, ka ricilësuar veprën penale që po hetohej deri tani dhe ka orientuar hetimin në drejtim të veprës penale “Vrasje e Rëndë””, ka thënë ai.

Por, si ndodhi ngjarja?

Axha i Lulzimit, Rrahim Fejzullahu, ka treguar versionin e tij se si kishte ndodhur ngjarja tragjike. Ai fillimisht tregoi se Lulzimi ishte jetim pa të dy prindërit.

“Unë nuk e di [sulmuesit] a kanë qenë moshatarë të tij apo jo. Së pari e kanë ndjekë me kerr, e kanë shkelë me kerr, e kanë shtyp, e kanë rrëzuar. Kur e kanë rrëzuar Lulzimin, i kanë hip stupca bejsbolli, derisa sot në ora 15:20 ndërroi edhe jetë”, ka thënë ai për Raporto24.

Ai tha se sherri nisi te një rrojtore e qytetit.

“Aty i kanë shty fjalët. Jo s’po rruhesh para meje, jo kush je ti, jo kush jam unë. Këtu ka ndodhë shkaku. Djali ka dalë, e ka marrë jaknen, me shku prej shpie. Në derë kah dalin janë rrok me krahë. Si shqiptarët qysh e kanë zakon pse me shtyve, pse të shtyva. Ai i ka lonë me u rrue, por këta e kanë përcjellë me kerr, videot i ka policia”, ka bërë të ditur axha i viktimës”.
