The Prosecution’s request states that B.H. is suspected of having, on June 29, 2026, at around 23:00, following an earlier conflict with the victim G.T. over the use of a property, namely a meadow, attacked him with a sharp instrument, a knife, causing fatal wounds. According to the information, the victim died at the scene.

Through a media statement, the Prosecution announced that there is suspicion that B.H. committed the criminal offense of “Aggravated Murder,” under Article 173 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.

Meanwhile, I.H., who is the father of the main suspect, is suspected of not having provided assistance to the victim, even though he was near the scene and had the opportunity to act without putting himself or other persons at risk. He is being suspected of the criminal offense of “Failure to Provide Assistance,” under Article 188 of the Criminal Code.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren emphasized that it will continue to remain committed to the fight against crime, to strengthening the rule of law, and to bringing to justice all those who act in violation of the law.

According to the prosecution, a detention measure was imposed on the suspect’s father because he is suspected of failing to provide assistance to the victim after the stabbing.

The statement says: “By decision of the state prosecutor, the suspect B.H. has been detained for 48 hours on grounded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of ‘Aggravated Murder,’ under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. Likewise, his father has also been detained for 48 hours on grounded suspicion of committing the criminal offense of ‘Failure to Provide Assistance,’ under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.”

The prosecution explained that B.H., after committing the criminal offense, had initially been on the run, but was later located and arrested thanks to intensive operational-investigative actions by the Kosovo Police.

According to the prosecution, the incident occurred on June 29, 2026, at around 23:15, in the village of Zlipotok in Dragash, where the victim, who was the village imam, was killed with a sharp object (knife).

The statement notes that the victim’s death was confirmed by a doctor at the scene, while the body was sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IFM) in Prishtina.

The statement also says: “The Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, is continuing intensive investigations to clarify the motives and full circumstances of this event. Within the legal deadline, the Prosecution will submit a request for the suspects to be remanded in custody.”

According to the Prosecution’s request, there are well-founded suspicions that on June 28, at around 10:40 p.m., on “Sejdi Sejdiu” Street in Ferizaj, “the defendant deprived the now deceased F.H. of his life, following a disagreement and physical altercation between them, thereby committing the criminal offense of ‘Murder’.”

In the same case, the suspect A.R. also sustained bodily injuries, which are suspected to have been inflicted by the victim, the late F.H., after which she received medical treatment at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK).

Meanwhile, the suspect with the initials M.B., who had been detained pending full clarification of the circumstances and his involvement in this case, has been released by decision of the State Prosecutor.
