Tensions erupted at Monday’s protest as demonstrators continued their march, leading to a chaotic situation.

Police formed a cordon and sprayed irritants and tear gas at the protesters, who threw eggs at the officers.

Meanwhile, the State Police stepped up security measures today. The security perimeter was reinforced with a broad police cordon consisting of two rows of Shqiponja forces and one row of officers from the National Security Force (FNSH), while the area around Parliament continues to be monitored by a large number of police officers.
