A nurse at the Main Family Medicine Center in Pristina was physically assaulted while at work as she was providing a healthcare service at a patient’s home in the Kalabria neighborhood.

Bujar Gashi, director of the Health Directorate in Pristina, condemned the incident and the attack on the healthcare worker.

Gashi said that violence against professionals who serve citizens is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, emphasizing that their safety and dignity are non-negotiable.

The case has been reported and is currently being handled by the Kosovo Police and the relevant institutions, he said.

Despite the incident, healthcare services in the field will continue without interruption. According to Gashi, this was an isolated case that will not affect the provision of healthcare, while teams will continue serving citizens with the same dedication.
