A 62-year-old man from the village of Rusinovo in Berovo, L.M., was detained yesterday (19.08.2026) at around 5:40 p.m. by officers from the Berovo Police Department.

According to a statement from North Macedonia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, he was driving a Ford passenger vehicle when he collided with a parked car and then with the fence of a house’s yard.

During police procedures, it was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. A measurement showed 2.62 parts per thousand of alcohol in his blood.

Police inspected the scene, while the public prosecutor was informed about the case. Once the full documentation has been completed, an appropriate criminal report is expected to be filed.
