Publicist Nexhmedin Shehu commented on the latest political developments in Kosovo, raising concerns about the lack of institutional consolidation and political calculations that, according to him, are undermining the country’s stability.

According to Shehu, political entities can blame each other for the situation created, but LDK’s split for the third time remains an indisputable fact.

“We can address the blame for the lack of consolidation to each other, but one fact remains undeniable: LDK, unfortunately, fragmented for the third time,” he stated.

He warned that this time the effects of the division could extend beyond LDK itself and affect Kosovo as well.

“This time, the consequences could be unpredictable not only for LDK itself, but also for Kosovo,” Shehu said.

The publicist assessed that political actions that undermine institutional functioning create a serious risk for the country.

“Political calculations at the expense of institutional stability carry great danger,” he said.

Shehu also criticized what he described as a “sick grudge” against the outcome expressed by citizens through the vote. According to him, this approach has been repeated now for the third time.

“The sick grudge against the democratic verdict of citizens, now for the third time, shows the dead end into which some political entities and deputies — who, it seems, ‘have more of a problem with Albin than with the Serbian List’ — have led Kosovo,” the publicist declared.

He emphasized that party interests, personal grievances, and attempts to change the election result through maneuvers should not prevail over the state interest.

“Party interests, personal spite, and efforts to overturn what has been expressed by vote through maneuvering cannot be placed above the interest of the state,” Shehu stressed.

In his assessment, democracy is not limited only to participation in elections. It also requires acceptance of the will of the majority, while opposition must be done through institutions.

“Democracy does not only mean the right to compete, but also the obligation to accept the will of the majority and to oppose it institutionally,” he said.

Shehu expressed hope that future political developments remain within the institutional framework, the Constitution, and the principles of democratic order.

“I hope that, despite everything, developments remain within the institutions, the Constitution, and the democratic order,” the publicist said.

He concluded his stance by saying that Kosovo needs political responsibility, dialogue, and stability, instead of another institutional crisis, the consequences of which would be borne by the citizens.

Publicisti Nexhmedin Shehu ka komentuar zhvillimet e fundit politike në Kosovë, duke ngritur shqetësimin për mungesën e konsolidimit institucional dhe për llogaritjet politike që, sipas tij, po cenojnë stabilitetin e vendit.

Sipas Shehut, subjektet politike mund të fajësojnë njëra-tjetrën për situatën e krijuar, por ndarja e LDK-së për të tretën herë mbetet një fakt i pakundërshtueshëm.

Publicisti ka vlerësuar se veprimet politike që zhvillohen në dëm të funksionimit institucional krijojnë një rrezik serioz për vendin.

“Kalkulimet politike në kurriz të stabilitetit institucional bartin rrezik të madh”, ka thënë ai.

Shehu ka kritikuar edhe qëndrimin që e cilëson si “mëri të sëmurë” ndaj rezultatit të shprehur nga qytetarët përmes votës. Sipas tij, kjo qasje është përsëritur tashmë për të tretën herë.

“Mëria e sëmurë ndaj verdiktit demokratik të qytetarëve, tashmë për të tretën herë, tregon rrugën pa krye në të cilën disa subjekte politike dhe deputetë — që, siç duket, ‘më shumë problem e kanë Albinin sesa Listën Serbe’ — e kanë futur Kosovën”, ka deklaruar publicisti.

Ai ka nënvizuar se interesat partiake, pakënaqësitë personale dhe tentativat për të ndryshuar përmes manovrave rezultatin e zgjedhjeve nuk duhet të prevalojnë mbi interesin shtetëror.

“Interesat partiake, inatet personale dhe përpjekjet për ta përmbysur me manovrime atë që është shprehur me votë, nuk mund të vendosen mbi interesin e shtetit”, ka theksuar Shehu.

Në vlerësimin e tij, demokracia nuk kufizohet vetëm te pjesëmarrja në zgjedhje. Ajo kërkon edhe pranimin e vullnetit të shumicës, ndërsa kundërshtimi duhet të bëhet përmes institucioneve.

“Demokracia nuk nënkupton vetëm të drejtën për të garuar, por edhe detyrimin për ta pranuar vullnetin e shumicës dhe për ta kundërshtuar atë institucionalisht”, ka thënë ai.

Shehu ka shprehur shpresën që zhvillimet e ardhshme politike të mbahen brenda kuadrit institucional, Kushtetutës dhe parimeve të rendit demokratik.

“Uroj që, pavarësisht gjithçkaje, zhvillimet të mbeten brenda institucioneve, Kushtetutës dhe rendit demokratik”, ka deklaruar publicisti.

Ai ka përmbyllur qëndrimin e tij duke thënë se Kosovës i duhen përgjegjësi politike, dialog dhe stabilitet, në vend të një tjetër krize institucionale, pasojat e së cilës do t’i bartnin qytetarët.

“Kosovës i duhet përgjegjësi politike, dialog dhe stabilitet — jo një krizë e re, çmimin e së cilës, në fund, do ta paguajnë qytetarët”, ka përfunduar Nexhmedin Shehu.
