The fire that has engulfed the Lufaj area of Mirditë has not yet been extinguished. High temperatures and strong winds have fueled the spread of the flames.

Municipal employees from Mirditë Municipality, Civil Emergency structures and firefighting services have been deployed to manage the situation on the ground. They are working to isolate the hotspot and halt the fire’s advance.

The response is being significantly hampered by the rugged mountainous terrain, as firefighting vehicles cannot reach some areas.

Local residents have joined the forces involved, helping efforts to contain the flames.
