Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari has invited representatives of the parliamentary parties to a consultative meeting on possible changes to the Electoral Code. According to the ministry, the aim of the meeting is to overcome the deadlock and unblock the process.

Prime Minister Mickoski wants the parliamentary opposition to first harmonize its positions and only then present a clear stance. OBRM-PDUKM says it is ready to support the creation of a single electoral district and increased funding for smaller parties if the parties agree on a new Electoral Code. However, the party continues to defend its proposal for the diaspora to vote by mail.

LSDM has not changed its position and is calling for the demands concerning the diaspora vote to be accepted. The party also opposes the method of rounding off ballots, arguing that it has created opportunities for electoral manipulation.

Meanwhile, “The Left” believes that the Constitutional Court’s decision not to initiate proceedings concerning the equal allocation of funds for paid political advertising has further strengthened its position in Parliament. Following the announcements of changes to the Electoral Code, LSDM announced that it would submit ten thousand amendments.
